Coffee Recipe of the Month
Thai Iced Coffee
The summer might be over but there’s something innately human about wanting to hold on to good things even though time passes. So we bring you a final iced coffee recipe for the year. And since we mentioned that Thai airplane café this recipe links perfectly with the theme of this newsletter. Maybe we already miss our vacations, maybe we couldn’t go to that perfect beach vacation because of the pandemic. Either way this Thai iced coffee will certainly make you feel like you are reclining on a sunbed in a sunny beach resort somewhere in Asia. Pure bliss!
What you’ll need
- 500 ml brewed coffee
- 4 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk
- ice cubes
- 65ml heavy cream or evaporated milk
Preparation
- Pour the coffee into a container of your choice for mixing
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until dissolved
- Add a few ice cubes and refrigerate for 1 or more hours
- Taste test the coffee, you might want to add more condensed milk as this drink is meant to be quite sweet
- Serve the coffee drop a few ice cubes in each glass and pour the coffee in. Then top it off with the cream or milk to round it off according to taste and bean variety.
- This iced coffee is also wonderful with a shot of Cointreau, Bailey’s or Kahlua, making it truly a sunbed experience
Enjoy!
