You can use any type of milk, even dairy-free milk or soy, nut, and low-fat milk. Any type you prefer works. So the next ingredient will be the condensed milk. The condensed milk is really important because it adds that little bit of sweetness to your creamer.

The next very important ingredient here is a fresh vanilla pod and its seeds. You can buy these online really inexpensively because they’re really great to have in your home, and also you can use them to make homemade vanilla extract. The next step is turning your heater on to a medium-low and mixing your batch slowly until it simmers.

Making of French Vanilla

After a while, you will start to see little bubbles forming on top and that’s how you’ll know that it’s starting to simmer. Then you can turn your heat off, and once it’s off, you can add in some vanilla extract which will give your milk an extra flavour. There’s no point in making French vanilla if you can’t taste the vanilla.

It’s time for you to grab a cookie and let your cream batch cool down before you pass it through a sieve and put it in a jar. You’ll be happy to know that this lasts longer than fresh milk; roughly around 6-7 days, maybe even a little bit longer in your fridge. All of it because of the sugar in the condensed milk which keeps that little bit of extra time.

Also, if you make a dairy-free version, that’ll last even longer.

  • 1 can (14oz/395g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 vanilla pod, sliced in half with scraped out seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Pumpkin Spice creamer

Our next homemade coffee creamer is a popular one out there. Pumpkin Spice creamer is a nourishing taste to your coffee.

So just like French vanilla, you’re going to start in the same way by adding your milk into the saucepan, any kind of milk you like. Then you will add your condensed milk, which adds nice consistency and completing sweetness to your batch.

Now you can add your own pumpkin spice or you can use tinned, both work quite well. After you do that, you keep up with the taste by adding in a little bit of pumpkin spice and you’re already there. Cinnamon works too. Then you just stir it and put it back on the heat to a medium-low and let it come to a simmer.

While you wait till it simmers you can sit back and grab another cookie and enjoy the smell of the cooking batch. Adding the vanilla extract will help with this recipe as well. After it simmers, you pass it through a sieve just like the last time, and you’re set, baby!

You will have to follow the same homemade process will adding both of your regular and condensed milk. Then turn on your heat to a medium-low and wait for the simmer.

Also, we would recommend you using different types of sugar like Lakanto, maple syrup or agave. After it comes to a simmer, turn off the heat, add your Baileys or any type of Irish coffee cream you might prefer yourself, give it a quick stir around, and let it cool down. Of course, you don’t pour your cream through a sieve this time because you only added Baileys in there.

A touch of hot chocolate and a few marshmallows would create a great taste if you would want to top it completely.
