Fazenda Do Salto is a big farm and a modern company based on tradition. This solid and well-structured organization uses all the experience and passes it on from generation to generation. Combined with innovation and technology, Otávio and his family are able to produce very high quality coffees. Holding UTZ and Rainforest Alliance certificates for more than 15 years now, the farm puts great value on sustainability and protecting the environment.
There are numerous native forests and springs on the farm, which are carefully being preserved. The water used for processing the coffee is being treated, filtered, and given back to the ecosystem. Pest control is done in a very limited fashion, following recommendations of an agronomist.
Our Brazil Otavio got his name from the youngest of the owner family, Otávio Reis. He is dedicated to experiment and use new processing methods to produce outstanding specialty coffee. Many of the farm’s coffees have been finalists in Brazilian competitions, including the Cup of Excellence. Although Brazil Otavio is more of a classic coffee experience, its processing method is natural, which contributes to its sweetness and adds a hint of orange.
