Kenya Ngerwe’s combination of chocolaty sweetness and its cherry and peach acidity results in a perfectly balanced cup of coffee. Therefore we recommend keeping the brew ratio at 1:2 grounds to water or lower to accentuate the sweetness and body of this coffee.
The Ngerwe Factory in Kenya, owned by the Kibugu Farmers Cooperative Society («FCS»), processes this coffee. The factory processes coffee from more than 550 small farmers in the region. The cooperative offers its members seminars and access to sustainable-farming handbooks. It also supports them in pre-financing to pay for supplies, inputs, and school fees for their children.
