LA MANUELA Variety Premium Arabica, Colombia, washed.
At an altitude of 1600-1800 meters above sea level at the mouth of the Andes grows an Arabica coffee of noble quality. A full body, a slightly nutty aroma, and a very aromatic mild acidity make LA MANUELA one of the best that Colombia’s already high coffee culture has to offer!
Of course, the LA MANUELA from Kaffeepur is a SUPREMO quality, which we consider to be the absolute top quality. It’s not that easy to roast this fine coffee, as it begins to “sweat” when left too long to roast. Sweating means the damage of the beans cell structure causes the contained coffee oil to spill onto the surface.
Colombia has been fighting against coca cultivation for a long time. Coffee would be an alternative, but the low world market prices for coffee torpedo this opportunity. However, this does not apply to the LA MANUELA, as this specialty coffee is paid several times the normal price! And frankly, I think this extraordinary coffee is definitely worth it!
