Premium Pure Arabica, Papua New Guinea, washed. Most of Papua Forest comes from small indigenous farms, so-called clans, some of which are so deep in the jungles that they are hardly accessible. The Arabica beans grow up to heights of 1300 – to 1800 meters above sea level and are naturally organic.
Since 1991, the Coffee Industry Corporation of Papua New Guinea has been trying hard to enforce fixed quality standards. However this is not an easy task, as the people of Papua New Guinea speak over 800 languages! That is why the CIC distributes pieces of paper throughout the country that describe the quality standards by drawing them.
Papua Forest is of excellent quality. Originally the variety comes from the Blue Mountains in Jamaica, recognizable by its complex and fruity aroma and its noble acidity. However, there is also an almost mystical and complex depth that uniquely links it to Papua New Guinea. If you don’t have time to explore this country, I recommend you get a part of it in this coffee!
