Chosen because we think it’s the best filter coffee in the world (quite unbiased, honestly, nothing to do with the fact that this is where Shirin began her coffee career).
Papua New Guinea is one of those origins where because vagaries of history have kept the old tree varieties, their elegant flavours and great aromatic dimension have remained. Blue Mountain Typicas, Bourbons and Arushas give Papua New Guineas their gentle, tropical fruit sweetness, reminiscent of jackfruit or ripe papaya.
We chose our current offering from a farm in the Western Highlands Province called Sigri, which tempted us with its savoury sweet flavour. Underlain by substantive body, this Sigri AA filter coffee just melts in the mouth.
Tasting notes: Lightly savoury, smooth, gentle tropical fruit notes.
